UMass Amherst's office of Commercial Ventures and Intellectual Property (CVIP) specializes in the commercialization of University technology. CVIP is responsible for working with industry to license technologies created on its Amherst campus. The primary commercialization mechanism is through license agreements with for-profit companies. These companies make and sell products that incorporate University technology. Other routes may include the formation of new companies.

These listings are arranged in categories by scientific disciplines. You can also search by keyword. In addition, where possible, CVIP has provided links to information about the technologies and to specific inventors associated with the invention as well as links to their departments.
